Chad Auld Appointed As Mambo Project Leader

The Mambo Foundation has appointed Chad Auld as the Project Leader. Chad works as Web content/database developer for a US firm. A Mambo-based intranet for the 600-seat call center and is currently working on building an operational data store with a Business Intelligence (BI) reporting system. He has also served as the Leader of the Mambo Core Development Team for the last 12 months.

This position came into being after Team Mambo’s unsuccessful experiments with a consensus-based decision process. This process proved to be less efficient even though extended discussion and decision cycles were implemented. So, in an effort to strengthen coordination of project resources and improve efficiencies in the development process, the decision has been made to shift global project management into more of a centralized structure.

Keeping this in mind the Mambo Project Leader will supervise all the various team resources and will have final say in development policy including the final say about what goes in the code.
