Compuware has introduced Compuware Vantage 10, a service-management solution that enables IT organisations to manage application service from a business perspective. This solution integrates end-user experience monitoring with deep Java and .NET application analytics, as well as business impact metrics. These new capabilities enable business-driven problem prioritisation and resolution, as well as systematic improvement of service delivery, the company said in a prepared statement.
“Application performance and availability management are important requirements for delivering application service levels that meet end-user requirements,” said Tim Grieser, VP System Management Software Research, IDC.
“IT organisations lack visibility into the impact the Java and .NET tiers have on end-user experience. As web-based applications become more mission critical and complex, IT requires an end-to-end view of end-user response time and the application metrics that contribute to service delivery,” said Steve Tack, Director of Product Management, Compuware Corporation.
The company mentioned that Compuware Vantage also monitors VoIP as a network-based application in the context of other applications competing for network resources. Compuware Vantage 10 provides new management-level reports that display the overall health of VoIP service, including the number of degraded calls.
