PEAR Releases of the Week

The PEAR releases of the week are a tool to generate MySQL UDF extensions from an XML description, an abstract base package for MySQL code generators, a tool to create Code generators that operate on XML descriptions, a package that provides components to achieve PHP version independence and the source code for the PEAR web site.

Here is the complete list:

• CodeGen_MySQL_UDF 0.9.8: CodeGen_MySQL_UDF is a code generator for MySQL User Defined Function (UDF) extensions similar to PECL_Gen for PHP.
• CodeGen_MySQL 0.9.0: this package contains common functionality used by all MySQL related code generator packages.
• CodeGen 1.0.4: this is an 'abstract' package, it provides the base framework for applications like CodeGen_PECL and CodeGen_MySqlUDF (not released yet).
• PHP_Compat 1.6.0a1: PHP_Compat provides drop-in functions and constants for compatibility with newer versions of PHP, environment emulation, and an API to allow for version independent authoring.
• pearweb_phars 1.3.0: Separate sub-package just for the. phars, to cut down significantly on the size of the pearweb package.
