SAP Appoints New Senior VP, Strengthens APJ Consulting & Education Team,

SAP Australia and New Zealand today announced the appointment of John Lombard to the role of Senior Vice President, Head of Field Services, SAP Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ).

Lombardwill be based in Singapore and responsible for the delivery of consulting and education programs across 15 countries in the APJ region.

The appointment represents a promotion; John previously managed consulting and education for SAP in Australia and New Zealand.

“The objective for SAP Field Services is to tightly align consulting and education with go-to-market strategies to ensure the best outcomes for customers,” said Lombard.

“We are aiming to significantly expand SAP’s customer base by 2010 and we want to ensure that SAP is considered an employer of choice across the region.”

John has some 20 years of IT and consulting experience and is a member of various industry and government steering committees. Prior to joining SAP, John was a Managing Director with BearingPoint responsible for Consulting Services in the consumer and manufacturing industries.
