Oracle has made its Siebel CRM Mobile available for the BlackBerry platform, the latest offering delivering Oracle’s leading CRM applications and capabilities to BlackBerry smartphone users.
Created as a result of the close collaboration between Oracle and Research In Motion (RIM), Siebel CRM Mobile now provides customers with secure mobile CRM functionality.
This offering is available to existing Siebel Wireless customers and leverages the open and flexible development platform provided by the BlackBerry Mobile Data System (BlackBerry MDS) to simplify integration with web services exposed by Oracle’s Siebel CRM.
“BlackBerry smartphones are ‘must-have’ tools for millions of professionals in thousands of organizations around the world,” said Oracle Vice President of CRM Strategy Mike Betzer.
“The new Siebel CRM Mobile couples the BlackBerry platform’s renowned ease-of-use with the power of Siebel CRM applications for an unrivaled, on-premise CRM mobile solution.”
Siebel CRM Mobile enables users to easily and securely access Siebel CRM applications from BlackBerry smartphones and enjoy the superior mobile experience provided by the push-based BlackBerry system architecture. The offering enables access to the most up-to-date CRM data online or offline, giving users the ability to take immediate action on critical notifications.
By leveraging the advanced wireless security, connectivity and manageability of the BlackBerry platform, Siebel CRM customers worldwide can further realize the value of their Siebel CRM investment by expanding access to their mobile users.
Enterprises can already wirelessly access Siebel CRM through the BlackBerry Browser. Siebel CRM Mobile goes further by providing an additional level of integration with the BlackBerry platform to make important real-time CRM data available to sales forces, executives and field service engineers.
With instant access to important CRM information, BlackBerry smartphone users can make even more productive use of their time out of the office.
This enables offline use of Siebel CRM on BlackBerry smartphones to manage all aspects of customer interviews, services tasks, assess critical corporate data, and to collaborate more effectively with other team members.
Providing wireless access to the latest CRM data available allows stakeholders to deliver more effective customer service and more efficient opportunity management in the field, which enables lower costs, increased profitability and predictable revenue growth.
“Usability, reliability and security are key requirements for mobile deployments in the enterprise,” said Jeff McDowell, Vice President, Global Alliances at Research In Motion. |
