Lawson today announced it is continuing to expand the number of employees for its operations in Manila, now employing more than 550 people.
The U.S.-based software company intends to continue creating new jobs for its operations in Manila, with a goal of increasing to 800-900 employees by mid-2008.
Lawson opened its Philippine-based operation in 2006 as one of its primary global solution and support centers to provide direct support and services to more than 4,000 Lawson customers in 40 countries worldwide. Since then, its employees have improved their skills and abilities, and many are now leading some of the company’s software development, professional services and technical support projects.
“Our employees have opportunities to showcase their IT skills in meaningful positions in software development, customer support and services,” said Edwin Chow, country manager for Lawson Manila.
“We’ve more than tripled our employee base over the last 12 months as word spreads about the great career opportunities that exist at Lawson.”
Lawson Software provides enterprise software applications to service sector organizations such as healthcare, financial services and public services, as well as companies in manufacturing, distribution, equipment service management and rental. Its operations in Manila are now the third-largest for the company overall. |
