Cybernet-SlashSupport Strikes Partnership with South African Firm

Chennai based Offshore Technology Operations Management (TOM) company Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS), has announced that it has signed a partnership with mySolutions, a Pretoria, South Africa headquartered IT solutions company for its expansion into the technology services and support market in Africa.

CSS, which provides IT services including Tech Support, Remote IMS and Software Testing & Development, employs around 5000 employees at its offshore facilities in Chennai and Coimbatore. The company also has a facility in the US, a redundancy center in Singapore and a near shore facility in Poland.

As part of the partnership, mySolutions will market CSS's offerings in the African market while Cybernet-SlashSupport will provide offshore technology delivery and development support. The partnership will target Government organisations, Banks, Retail and Manufacturing companies in South Africa, Botswana and Kenya with its Lotus Notes software services and support offering.

Currently, ICT is one of the major components of a successful business which can cost a firm up to 7% of its turnover. ICT is normally a neglected area of a business due to the lack of qualified and experienced resources in the South African market.

Through the partnership with CSS, mySolutions will have access to skills, previously unavailable, and will be able to offer services to new and untapped opportunities in the high end market in Africa.

According to Sridhar Kulasekharan, COO, Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS) the South African IT market is expected to expand in 2008 on the back of favorable economic development. "This partnership combines our offshore technology capability with their strong local market knowledge and expertise. We expect our partnership with mySolutions to help drive growth for CSS in the African market," said  Kulasekharan.
