Lawson Software Sets Up Direct Presence in Indonesia |

Lawson Software has announced a new direct go-to-market strategy in Indonesia with the appointment of Arif Gunawan as the Country Sales Manager for Lawson Indonesia. In addition to have a direct sales team in Indonesia, the provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions and applications provider will be recruiting more channel partners in the country.
Lawson plans to support customers through both a direct presence and business partners. This investment by Lawson to boost its direct presence in Jakarta signifies a commitment to serve customers better.
In Southeast Asia, Lawson currently has offices in the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, and plans to expand in other parts Asia by the end of 2008.
"Asia is a growing and exciting market for us as we have several prestigious customers using our solutions there," said David Hope, vice president and managing director for Lawson in Asia & Japan.
The company, which was already serving customers in Indonesia through channel partner PT Gasi, looks forward to forging closer ties with partners through its direct sales force. The new office also underscores Lawson's belief in the potential of the ERP market, and its commitment to customers and partners in Southeast Asia.
